Organization & Contact

Association and colloquium organization

The NCFS Association has two co-chairs and an executive committee. The executive committee is made up of the association chairs, the current year’s conference organizer(s), the previous year’s organizer(s), and organizers committed for future years. Ex-officio members typically include the editor of NCFS and sometimes past conference hosts invited on an ad-hoc basis. Co-chairs are selected by the executive committee and usually serve for 5 to 10 years.

Neither the co-chairs nor members of the committee receive any financial compensation for their work.

Papers by past hosts, by the editors of Dix-Neuf, and by the NCFS journal’s editor and associate editors are automatically admitted to the conference. All other submissions are subject to a double-blind peer-review and ranked. Based on the number of submissions, between 50% and 75% of papers are typically accepted.

If you are a regular attendee and would like to be involved (helping evaluate abstracts, hosting, mentoring, etc.) please contact one of the association co-chairs (contact information bel0w).

NCFSA statement on harassment

NCFSA is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior at any conference venue or during a conference-related social event, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of the NCFSA co-chairs or the local host or hosts.

Our aim is to assist any who may experience harassment to feel safe at the NCFS colloquium. We value your attendance.
